Meet the team!

The MYTI Club Trustees
Tony Britto

Tony is a local businessman and founder of The MYTI Club. As a youngster he had a troubled past and as his roofing business grew, decided to put something back to the community by helping the young people in the area to not make the same mistakes as he did.

​

Up to now, although the club has received some financial support from Active Surrey and YMCA East Surrey, Tony has been funding the Club from his own resources.

Jeff Harris

Jeff is an ex-Surrey County Councillor, senior police office and Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner for Surrey. He is joint Chairman of the Board of\Trustees of The\Land & City Families Trust.

Following his retirement from The Metropolitan Police as a Chief Superintendent, he worked as a volunteer for The Prince's Trust developing young people's confidence, communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision making skills. 

Josephine Davey

Jo has been a foster carer for many years with children who visit the Club. Through her work with local schools she is experienced in safeguarding requirements and managing the wellbeing of children with physical and mental issues.

Emma Minter MCCA, FMAAT

Emma is an accountant but originally followed a career with horses, at one time training police horses.

​

She decided she needed a more "stable" career and retrained as an accountant. She has three sons and lives in Dorking.

The MYTI Club Youth Workers

The Club currently employs seven youth workers. Not professional social workers but experienced local people committed to the children of the area and fully experienced in youth work and safeguarding requirements.

Grace Carroll

Grace us the Club Manager and is responsible for day-to-day management of club activities and supervising the team.

 

She recently completed a degree in forensic psychology at Kingston University and is currently studying for a Masters at London Metropolitan University.

Tanya Adams

Tanya is our safeguarding lead  and trained as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant.

 

She works in pastoral care in a local secondary school and provides a liaison between the school and the Club. Tanya also helps in the kitchen

Amy Burns

Amy is the Club's lead sports coach and mental first aider. She also works in a local school as a Teaching Assistant.

 

Amy leads the football training supported by young volunteers. In her earlier life she was a junior semi-professional footballer with Arsenal and Charlton Athletic.

Steve Gibson

Steve is ex-military and is our sports coach and first aider. A parent and prominent member of the community, Steve also takes responsibility for the support of children with learning difficulties, club discipline and safeguarding issues.

Sophie Smye

Sophie is head of Art and Mental Wellbeing. From experiencing her own mental health issues, Sophie has developed art strategies to help children understand and address their mental health issues.

 

She is currently studying fashion and photography at The University of Creative Arts in Epsom.

Samantha Franics

Sam is responsible for providing hot meals to the club members, She is experienced in food preparation and hygiene requirements.

 

During the school holidays Sam also provides food and hygiene training for club members.

Rob Carroll

Rob is a specialist youth worker who leads the MYTI school holiday programmes. He works as a Specialist Team Leader for Barnett and Southgate College supporting young people with clinical and educational disabilities.

 

Sadly he can only join us during the school holidays but he brings many years experience of youth work to MYTI and provides training to the team.
